Ok we know stats alone can not tell the full story but the site below does not make pretty reading for West Ham and confirms that we are nowhere near most teams in many respects.

Passing sequences and other stats confirm what we know. Playing same way and very direct with Allardyce esque tactics.

Moyes said when he was out of football he studied lots of clubs and styles, systems etc? He must have got early onset of dementia or was pissed when watching because we just play the sit deep and counter attack game as his Everton teams often did.

Paul Nevin and Nolan and Warberton are supposedly looking at stats and Nevin works on team set up and systems as he does or did for England?

Perhaps he’s pissed all the time too?

Some good news.
Harrison Ashby is back in full training as of Monday this week.
Though now we are in a relagation battle Moyes won't use him till it's to late if at all.
Maybe against Blackburn in the cup.

Can see Diego Costa ripping us a new arsehole.
He will show Moyes that he is better than what we've got, and could've come in on a free!

Anyone picking Paqueta needs to give their head a wobble.

Absolute pony acquisition.

Moyes selects anyone who played during lockdown, who isn't injured, transferred or retired.

Then he reluctantly fills in with £180 million worth of new recruits.

I would certainly bench Paqueta after his awful performances so far. Coufal, Fornals and Soucek also need to be benched.

For me the team should be as follows (4-3-3):

Fabianski

Kehrer (RB)
Ogbonna
Zouma
Cresswell

Rice
Downes
Cornet

Antonio
Scamacca
Bowen

I love this game, picking teams that we know Moyes will never choose in a month of Sundays. None of you have included the magnificent seven, who must be picked at all times. Fabianski, Fornals, Cresswell, Coufal, Soucek, Antonio and Bowen. Respect the point for Gods sake.

Pointless picking a side until this useless international break is over. More than likely to get some knocks or injuries that crop up. I honestly think its less the players and more the tactics that are a problem anyway. I dont see those changing as they havent changed in the last two years. We have been found out and need a new magic formula. You can put as many attacking players on as you want but they will all be told to defend.

Think it was stewie that said Dawson should be the first name on the team sheet
I'd agree especially if Diego Costa is playing
DEATH MATCH : Dawson v Costa
* Note to dressing room staff ... please supply a body bag for Costa

It’s got to be Dawson, the only defender who will not be scared stiff of Costa, Cresswell will shit himself if Costa even looks at him.

The Diego Costa who last played in the Brazilian league in December last year. If he even plays, I think we can survive.

I am perfectly happy putting Kehrer at right back, Ogbonna at LCB, Emerson at left back, passing the ball around him and trying to see a bit of attacking movement in our backline.

Suspect Costa will start on the bench.

I would like to see us go for it and start with this line up. Appreciate Emerson isn't greatest defender but you have Downes and Rice in front of that defence providing the support when needed.

Areola

Kehrer (RB)
Ogbonna / Dawson
Zouma
Emerson

Rice
Downes
Pacqueta

Antonio
Scamacca
Cornet

Bowen, Soucel, Fornals, Benny all on bench to change game if we need.

Who's picking Downes off the back of one game?

Oh who cares, this is another L as are all our games until Moyes is elbowed.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Wolves - Official Match Thread - Preview
It's not picking Downes off one (MOTM) game though.

It's about not picking Soucek based on 7 games.
